The Cereus Poker Network has announced that it is taking its highly publicised bigger and better concept to the extreme by offering one lucky player the chance to walk away with $15,000.
Kahnawake-licensed sister online casino sites UltimateBet.com and AbsolutePoker.com joined forces last month under the Cereus name in order to offer players more action, tournaments and faster-growing bad beat jackpots.
“Online poker players at both sites have already realised the benefits that come with an expanded player base through a soaring bad-beat jackpot,” read a statement from the two site’s Canadian owner, Tokwiro Enterprises.
“By Thursday morning, the jackpot of the Texas hold'em casino game was bordering on the $800,000 mark.”
Two months ago they both launched separate $115,000 promotions but have now combined jackpots to offer players a $220,000 contest, which got underway earlier this week.
In order to qualify for UltimateBet.com's Points Race promotion or AbsolutePoker.com's Race Cards contest for the chance at winning the big prize, online players must earn Rai$e Status Points at UltimateBet.com or Fame Credits at AbsolutePoker.com by playing in any real-money raked ring game between now and the end of December. Following this, the top 200 points earners on the leader board of each site will share in a $200,000 prize pool including $15,000 for the top finisher and $14,000 for the runner-up. In addition, the third-placed online player will walk away with $13,000 while those in the top 30 are guaranteed at least $1,000 depending on their leader board rank. The top 1,000 point earners on each leader board will also receive an invitation to take part in a special freeroll competition for an additional $20,000.
