It has been a long day for the Casino Affiliates Program. First, one of their co-owners, Lou Fabiono has resigned amidst controversy. Now, his partner, Warren Jolly, is pleading with reporters to stop doing their jobs and reporting news.
CAP rose to fame because they gave the forum for disgruntled affiliates to expose the dangers of the online casino industry. Now that they have become one of those dangers, they are asking for mercy.
“I would like to encourage everyone, both members and non-members of CAP, to encourage GPWA, Michael Corfman, Jay Todd, APCW, and whoever else is participating in these attacks against the CAP community to STOP causing this unneeded distraction in our industry. It will hurt you PERSONALLY if Lou is no longer a part of CAP and able to provide the assistance and guidance he has since CAP’s inception,” said Jolly.
The choice of words by Jolly are peculiar. He used the word “attack” in describing what is being done to CAP. However, recent developments have a person claiming that is was Jolly and his partner who have been doing the attacking. The person claims that the two co-owners of CAP hacked into several of his accounts.
Not only did he allege these actions, he has proof. The computer that was used in hacking the accounts was traced directly back to Jolly and Fabiono. This allegation comes after it has been proven that the CAP owners had a partnership in an online poker room.
CAP is schedule4d to throw an affiliates party in London, but it now looks as though those plans could be in jeopardy. Sponsors are monitoring the CAP controversy closely and any more bad press could be deadly for CAP.
Jolly certainly knows the potential for problems, so he issued his statement pleading with reporters to stop doing their jobs. For years, CAP has been responsible for helping affiliates sort out discrepancies in the industry, but now they are turning on members who smell a rat. while many in the industry wait to see the outcome of all of the CAP problems, one person contacted tonight senses there was a threatening tone to Jolly’s statements. “What Warren has basically said is that affiliates who do not overlook the wrongdoings of CAP will be personally hurt. Could that mean the owners of CAP are involved with more than just the poker site? What Jolly is doing right now is panicking as his world crumbles, and it looks as though he is ready to take down anyone who does not succumb to what CAP has been doing,” said the industry insider.
