Both teams are listed with +150 odds (2.50 odds). No Twitter at the World Series of Poker Tables
![]()
The World Series of Poker has enacted new stricter "sportsmanship" rules whereby players will not be able to verbally abuse an opponent. Last year, as an example, Phil Hellmuth called his opponent an "idiot" and "the worst player in history" after losing a rather large pot. But an interesting rule that truly stands out at this year’s WSOP will be the banning of Twitter usage. The use of Twitter has become a popular form of keeping fans in the loop on an interactive basis. Several poker pros – most notably Doyle Brunson, Annie Duke, David Williams and Vanessa Rousso – utilize Twitter almost on a daily basis. Annie Duke lost the Celebrity Apprentice finale because….well….she wasn’t Joan Rivers (the ultimate winner in an event many in the poker world argue was "fixed") It’s only fitting that one in a series of favorites to lose out on titles from popular reality television shows would comment on American Idol favorite, Adam Lambert, failing to win this season. "I am so disappointed," the poker pro and spokesperson for UltimateBet.com said following American Idol’s results show. "I seriously think Adam lost just because he is gay. Bummed. Bummed. Bummed." Throughout the season, news reports surfaced that Lambert might be gay. Photos of the Idol kissing another man were also widely circulated. Joan Rivers Slight Favorite to Win Celebrity Apprentice
Annie Duke is a gambler and, as such, she knows a thing or two about odds. The good news for Duke heading into the Celebrity Apprentice mind-numbing three hour finale against comedian Joan Rivers is that she’s not too far behind in viewer voting.
A survey conducted by Zap2It had Joan Rivers getting 40 percent of the 680 votes and Annie Duke getting 32 percent.
"Annie Duke is playing the game great," says Payton O’Brien of Gambling911.com. "Based on ability to play the game, I would have to say that she will win this season’s Celebrity Apprentice. But there is another mindset that Rivers might get the sympathy vote being she’s in her 70′s and Donald Trump is obviously respects her."
This season’s finale of Celebrity Apprentice is more about who is going to win. We’ll also be watching to see if either women kill each other. The two have been embroiled in a nasty war of words since the second episode. Rivers has even lashed out at the poker community on a number of occasions, prompting another professional player, Doyle Brunson, to demand an apology. Brunson has been mocking Rivers on his Twitter page.

ISPs Not Inclined to Comply With Minnesota Online Gambling Order
The Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association (iMEGA.org) has heard back from some of the Internet Service Providers ordered by the state of Minnesota to block a few hundred listed online gambling websites.
"In response to our letters (sent out) yesterday, they are not inclined to comply with the Minnesota order," commented Joe Brennan, Jr., founder of iMEGA. "We filed this to first, get MN DPS to rescind their order to the ISPs, and second, to put any other state on notice that a similar action will be contested in court."
