Online Casino Players Being Jailed In The US
USA Regular everyday US citizens that occasionally play at online casinos are being jailed in the US. The latest chapter in the country’s Internet gambling saga had Nicholas Zicarelli jailed for not testifying about the online casino he had been a customer at.
Zicarelli’s attorney, Kenneth Hensley, is claiming that the government is trying to make an example of his client. Hensley believes that the government has no legal right to have Zicarelli jailed, and that they are bullying him to testify.

Atlantic City: Last Calls to be Pushed Back?
ATLANTA (myfoxatlanta.com) – The Atlanta City Council, which shortened serving hours for the city’s bars six years ago after a series of shootings and complaints about late-night rowdiness, may consider reversing its decision.
City Councilman Kwanza Hall introduced legislation Monday requesting a study of extending the deadline to sell liquor from 2:30 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Council President Lisa Borders sent the legislation to a committee for further discussion.
Hall says the sales tax money from extending the hours could fund public safety improvements.

Unibet deal with Cryptologic
CryptoLogic Limited, one of the largest developers of Internet gambling software and trademark online casino games, today announced that one of its best-performing slot-machine, Bejeweled is now live on Unibet.com, one of Europe’s biggest online gambling sites.
As part of multi-year agreement Unibet Group plc will launch at least six games before the end of the year and another three in early 2010. Cryptologic games will reach an audience of more than 3.6 million players because of the agreement. Maryland Online Gambling Investigation Seizes Emails
By Van Smith, Baltimore City Paper Electracash, Inc., the California payment-processor whose bank accounts were seized in July by federal investigators in Maryland who are probing the online gambling industry, has been targeted again. This time, the Feds are going after evidence of gambling-related communications in Electracash’s e-mail account with New York-based Intermedia. Electracash’s chief executive officer, D. Lee Falls, did not return a phone message seeking comment. The latest seizure warrant was signed by U.S. District Court magistrate judge James Bredar on Oct. 9, and was entered yesterday on the federal courts on-line database, PACER.
